Awww... It helps to have been young in this era, but I love this movie. It's 80's crappy, in a good way. Seen against the backdrop of 50% of the movies made in the 80s, this is a light and enjoyable feel-good movie, full of characters I really liked. Hell, I even liked Bill Maher in this, and frankly he's about as likeable as an infected hangnail.

Mr. T is awful, but that's to be expected and looked forward to. He really defines the word I'm about to make up: Awesomeful.

I'm not a big fan of Irene Cara, or her artificial insertion into this movie to try and capitalize on her... star power? But I can overlook that.

Max Gail might agree with you, since I didn't see his name in the credits on IMDB.

Is it a mess? Yes. But I don't think it's a stinker. Makes me smile too much.

#1 final plea for the movie... Whitman Mayo! Mr. Rhythm was the man. Goo!
