Thanks for the comment. I would say that The Dead Zone is in strong contention right now for my favorite movie of 1983 as I continue this series. I am still in the midst of watching the other two Stephen King adaptations from &#039;83 and neither come anywhere near the work that Cronenberg and Walken put together here.</description>

		<description>I agree, I think The Dead Zone is the best adaptation of a King novel. Christopher Walken&#039;s acting is unforgettable as a man slowly crumbling from his loss and the burden of his gift/curse, even his voice reflects this. Although the scenes of his visions are &#039;stand-alone&#039; sequences they are so skillfully woven into the overall plot and point the way to the tragic finale. There is no joy for Johnny when he saves the lives of the girl in the fire and of his pupil or even stopping the serial killer. In the hands of a less skilful director it could have been a depressing film. The central love story is superbly done and moving at the end despite taking only a few minutes of the movie throughout. I&#039;ve watched The Dead Zone countless times and never tire of it</description>
